Types of stain
- Oil and sauces: leave a dark, shiny mark.
- Greasy food (pizza, burgers, chips): grease plus crumbs.
- Chocolate and sweets: grease and sugar.
- Sun cream and lotions: leave oily marks, common in summer.
- Body oils on headrests and armrests: gradual soiling, not a single stain.
What to do straight away
- Remove solid residue with a spoon or spatula, without rubbing.
- Absorb the oil with paper, pressing down.
- Don't pour on water or detergent straight away: it can spread the grease.
- Don't apply heat.
- Take a photo and message us.
Why grease is difficult
Grease doesn't dissolve in water alone. If rubbed, it spreads through the fibres. Household products often leave a residue that attracts dust and darkens the area. That is why a suitable pre-treatment and extraction help.
How we treat it
- We remove residue and look at the fabric.
- We pre-treat with a suitable product.
- We extract with hot water.
- We repeat the stain treatment if needed.
What result to expect
- Recent stain: usually improves a lot.
- Old or repeated: a shadow may remain, especially on light fabrics.
- Microfibre: tends to hold grease; the result depends on the treatment.
We don't promise to remove the whole stain.
