Cotton
- Absorbs moisture well and takes longer to dry.
- Can shrink or mark if it gets too wet.
- Stains easily: absorbs liquids and grease.
- Often has coloured covers or upholstery that should be tested first.
Linen
- Very sensitive to moisture and rubbing.
- Can become stiff or marked if it gets too wet.
- Wrinkles and can show rings at the edges of the treated area.
- Light tones show marks quickly.
Wool
- Repels liquids on the surface better than cotton or linen.
- Sensitive to heat and strong products.
- Can felt with excessive agitation.
- Needs products suited to protein fibres.
How we treat them
- We test colour and fabric before starting.
- We use little moisture and little agitation.
- We extract carefully and dry with ventilation.
- When the risk is high, we tell you and check with you before continuing.
What to expect
With natural fibres, improvements are more delicate and the margin for error is smaller. An old stain or ring may not come out. If the furniture isn't suitable for water cleaning, we don't take it on.
Drying
Can be longer than with synthetics, often 8 to 12 hours or more. Ventilate well.
Price
From €65 for a 2-seat sofa, plus a €30 travel fee per order. Pricing.
