Polyester
- A very common synthetic fibre.
- Tolerates moisture better than natural fibres.
- Usually cleans well with extraction.
- Holds grease and skin oils.
Chenille
- Fabric with soft yarn and a velvety look.
- More sensitive to moisture than polyester.
- The yarn can mark or distort with hard rubbing.
- Cleaned carefully with little agitation.
Blends
- Combine fibres such as polyester with cotton or acrylic.
- Behave according to the most sensitive fibre.
- That is why we check the label and test first.
Other fabrics
- Synthetic linen-look fabrics: more resistant than natural linen.
- Jacquard and patterned fabrics: cleaned carefully so the pattern isn't damaged.
- Removable covers: some can be washed according to the label.
