Is urine hard to remove?
It depends on the source and what has happened since:
- Cat urine is usually the hardest to remove.
- Dog urine is somewhat less strong.
- Child urine is usually the easiest.
- A fresh stain comes out far better than a dry one.
- An old stain can often be improved, sometimes with more than one treatment.
What to do right when it happens
- Absorb the liquid with paper or a cloth, pressing down. Don't rub.
- Don't soak the furniture or pour on lots of product.
- Don't use bleach or mix products.
- Don't try strong products: they can set the odour or discolour.
- Take a photo and send it to us.
How we treat it
- We locate the affected area.
- We extract the urine from the fabric with hot water and a suitable treatment.
- We treat the odour, not just the stain.
- For old or deeply penetrated stains, we repeat the treatment if the fabric allows it.
Can it be removed from inside the sofa?
If the urine has gone into the foam or the structure, cleaning reaches as far as extraction reaches. We can improve it a lot, but we can't promise to remove all the odour from inside. We tell you this from the photos before we start. We don't offer a free repeat-clean guarantee.
